They're not that hard to play. Only drawback is its squishyness. Even when the henchies are charged first, the mobs sometimes change targets and attack you.

What Ensoriki said with playing the class like it's supposed to be played said it pretty well. The Assassin places more emphasis on positioning rather than skill usage like the other classes. Basic skill usage for the Assassin is incredibly simple. Though it should be noted, even if it doesn't have much bearing on the discussion, that henchies and heroes can play any class with a reasonable degree of skill, except for Assassins. I've never gotten henchies or heroes of them to play an Assassin that was worth the party slot. Connection? /shrug
They really need a /shrug emote in game....

They are hard to stop when they kill you before you even realize you were attacked...if your a good assassin that is.
Assassins are all about timing....you have to watch your target and see what skills they are using and what they are doing. Example: you see a monk cast Guardian and healing another player, so you know that would be a perfect time to attack because they will be left without blocking or defense.

Huh...Isi t hard?
Depends on your style.
If you can concentrate to the skills, its easy. just find the harmony between defending and attacking.
Assassins have light armors, so they are not too strong. you need something to heal yourself, and a block spell, the best is Critical Defend...or somethign life that.
Yep, and 3-5 stage attack.
Well, try it.

assassins are stupidly easy to play. however, they are (or were, before mobius-->death blossom and critical agility) the only profession that absolutely requires the player to know basic positioning and movement. those two skills are also lacking in most GW players, so they perpetrate the myth that assassins are hard to play.

But as you said in another thread sin have to invest little to none for defensive skills. Which is true. Positioning and movement became out more when Dervish's came into play because of that nasty scythe.
As far as they are hard to play they aren't. Playing them well is hard to do. Most think that they have seen Naruto do something like charge into a group and win they can. Hence most 'sin hate. And the birth of the term Narutard.

Playing them well is hard ? Not really, I would rather say that playing them bad is very easy.

It's a question of personal choice and play style, you'll either like it or hate it and my advice is just to run one as it won't take long to figure out if you like the class or not.
Personally I've played all classes and Sin is by far the most fun for me and gets the most game time.
Good luck.

I'd have to agree fully with Lima, only hard part is when your starting a character, once you get skills and max armor its easy to play as long as you know how to chain your attacks. Once you have skills and know how to chain attacks, only hard thing about sins is getting groups because people hate them so much *for some reason *

It's not hard to play, just easy to die if you don't understand that 70AL means you will die if you lunge at that pair of Temple Guardians.
Let the tank absorb the damage for you if you plan on moving to the frontline.
Even with +20 AL from Critical Agility, it is still not your role to tank unless your party is prepared for it. Otherwise it will turn in your party mates frustrated from constant Rebirth.

Assassins are very solid when used right and have the ability to use weapons from other professions(Scythe and bow) and do quite good damage.
They are hard to start off as and it is hard to find the right skills, but once you know what you are doing you are on a RAMPAGE!
I usually a run a critical scythe build that makes use of Aura of holy might and vow of strength to get BIG damage every second on enemy's.
While it is not recommended for facing level 24's and 28's because using moebius blossom is much better for enemy's with a lot of armor, it still a very solid strategy.I remember hitting in the hundreds with every attack while still tanking.ITS THAT AWESOME!

It's only as hard as you choose to make it.
Read up here and on other forums and you should be fine and have a lot of fun.
Just remember, skill dependant, Sins are a majority melee class with very low armor. If your aware of that from the get-go you should be fine.
It's those that are'nt that tend to struggle with the class and it's play-style.
